2020 AAC(UK) AGM

The AGM will be held virtually on Saturday 7 November at 4pm.  Everyone holding AAC(UK) 2020 membership is invited to attend; please register your intention to do so by contacting the Office.  There is no limit to numbers attending the AGM, and registration is open from now until midnight on 14 October.

Could you help to run the Club?; We would like to hear from members who can offer time either to become a Director, or to support the Board in other ways.

The Director’s nomination form for election as a Director or AAC(UK) Ltd can be found below. Members will need to log in to see the links. Forms are welcome at any time.

The Club is also looking for candidates for the role of Chief Safety Officer. This volunteer role is defined in the Bye-Laws and chairs the Risk Management Committee (RMC). The RMC is responsible for the Club’s effective risk management processes as described in our Alpine Safe document and in more detail in leaders’ guidelines for each type of activity. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of outdoor pursuits and relevant best practice in organising and leading outdoor events. Please contact Tim Morley for further information:  aac.risk.management.committee@aacuk.org.uk

AAC(UK) Active – 20-21 March Training Events & Led Activities
This weekend is all about trying something new or honing your skills!  Most activity requirements are entry level, others may be intermediate.

Everyone will have the opportunity to participate in a training event or led activity – should they wish.  AAC(UK) will be subsidising the training & led activities, and as such these events are free to members who are staying at Plas y Brenin as part of AAC(UK) Active.

There will also be a number of organised walks taking place.  Some may just want to explore the local area, and of course members are welcome to join a walk on both days.

There will also be a Lecture on Friday evening, and Photo Competition presentation on Saturday evening.

Below is the summary of Training Events and Led Activities.  Click on each course for further information.
